I was lucky to have been in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, near Paradise, California. My earliest memory is sitting under a pine tree, listening to the wind, smelling the fresh scent and watching the needles sparkle on the branches. What a magical place that was.

Later, looking through a Brownie camera, I was amazed one could capture a moment in time. When I saw beautiful scenes of nature, the feeling of that magical place returned.

Using a point and shoot camera became a hobby. Taking photos during vacations or at family gatherings was a joy to me. During college, I progressed to a 35mm SLR camera and became serious about my art. I also began to appreciate the wonders of fine architecture.

Years past and after exhibiting my photos for several years I moved into digital cameras. Several cameras, lenses, printers, and a computer allow total control of the whole process.

The intent of my photography is to make a person pause for a moment, lose themselves and connect with the beauty and unity of nature and human design.

To make the person and the image as one.
